The subject I chose for my final was a train. I picked it because it’s symbolic and provides good photographic elements. The tracks lead the eye through the picture and the clearing above the tracks creates a dynamic parallel between the tracks and the sky. The train tracks symbolize life’s journeys and seeing as I am graduation from high school I am about it embark on one of the greatest adventures of all. In the pictures you can't see the station because you never know where your journey is going to end. It could be right around the corner or miles away. Some pictures have 2 tracks that come together and verge off.  They symbolize the friends you make and part from and how everything in life is connected even though such a small point in time. They symbolize the different paths you can take in life. There are always choices in life and it is important to choose on the right one. Like there are many train tracks, but if you accidentally switch to a different one, you could end up very far from where you originally planned on going.  I included the pictures of the Amherst sign because that is where my adventure starts. I know where it will begin, but not so much where it will end. I feel that the train tracks symbolized the journeys, choices, and unknowing that life has in store.
