Seeing Double

This picture was taken at Borderland State park. The pond was so still that it captured both the clouds and the trees in its reflection. This picture shows both the reflection and the trees, but the real clouds aren’t as defined as the clouds in the pond. This is a wide angle shot with a break in the trees as a center point. The tree line is slightly above center which creates the effect of the picture being split into 2 pieces, the reflected images and the real thing.  I think the image creates a calm serene mood since it is of nature. And personally I find it interesting, but that is entirely up to the viewer.  I think reflection photos have a great impact on people. They prove that everything affects something else, somehow, someway we, as humans, will leave an impression or reflection of ourselves of the things we do and the people we meet. We need to make sure that it is the impression we want to leave and that all of our actions will be reflected throughout time making small chain reactions of their own.
